Molly 5 Month update
Height and weight: We don't have a doctors appointment till 6 months so not sure about this but she is definitely growing!
Eating: We started some rice/oatmeal cereal and baby food this month and Molly is a HUGE fan! This girl loves her food. We also are pretty much done breastfeeding. She will still nurse at 5am when she wakes up but the rest of the day she gets baby food and bottle. This was hard for me because now she is experiencing constipation issues like her sister did when she was formula fed but adding some prune juice to her formula seems to help.
Sleeping: We have gotten a lot better with sleeping this month! She will take about an hour nap in the mornings and then a 2 hour nap in the afternoons. She goes to bed around 7pm and then will sleep till about 1 or 2am and needs the pacifier put back in her mouth. Then its about every hour till 5am she needs the pacifier put back in her mouth! I tell you the pacifier is great but also a pain in the butt! At 5am Molly will nurse and then sometimes she will go back to sleep in bed with me or other times she will just decide she wants to get up and play.
Clothes: Mostly in 6-9 and 9 month clothes
New this month: Molly is doing better at sitting up on her own. She likes to blow bubbles with her mouth and loves to play peek-a-boo. She hasn't rolled from her back to her stomach yet but likes to sleep on her side in her crib. Molly is very aware of her surroundings and who her sister is :) She is also good at finding her own thumb to suck on now. We also are doing better in the car and she doesn't mind it anymore (thank goodness!)
Molly likes: Screaming and hearing her own voice, girlfriend loves to scream. Playing peek-a-boo and watching her sister Morgan play. Being outside and at the beach. Eating anything she can get her hands on. Putting a blanket over her face and scaring her mother! All kinds of baby food, we haven't found one she hates yet.
Molly dislikes: When she can get something she wants (reaching for a toy she can't get). Being in one position too long. Nap time is still hard for us and she doesn't go down too easy. The vacuum (girlfriend is so scared of the vacuum.)
Overall Molly is getting to be a lot more enjoyable baby. Finally moving into a house and getting her set up in a crib and her own room has made a world of difference. She is smiling and giggling so much and loves watching Morgan.
