Beer Brewing, Stroller Warriors and Farmer's Markets

My goal to try and stay busy this week has been successful so far :) Monday Matt got off work early and the weather was amazing so of course is was a beer brewing day in this household. Matt has gotten pretty good at getting the 5-6 hour process down to a science and has built himself a pretty nice set up (and it's on wheels!)

Tuesday my friend and I went to our first stroller warriors run. Stroller Warriors in a group of women that go spend time working out and running with their kids. It is a great active group that I think I will appreciate having since I am not working anymore. They get together a lot so I am hoping I can at least make it twice a week.

The first time didn't go over so well because Morgan didn't nap that morning and decided she did not want to be in her stroller half way through the run. She was in full out screaming mode and for everyone's sake I took her home instead of finishing the workout. We have been having issues napping and sleeping in but more on that later!

Today I took Morgan to the market in Bury St Edmunds and enjoyed a picnic lunch with our friends. I swear Morgan was having  good time, she just has a natural stink face on all the time, it is pretty funny. I wish the weather was nicer out because it was a little chilly for a picnic but we made it work.

I love going to the market because the fruit and veggies are so yummy and everything just taste better. I also got a coconut, banana, fruit cookie (I ate it before I could get a picture) but trust me it was amazing :)

The stuff in the container is a greek salad, I definitely thought the onions were noodles when I bought it, that is a lot of onions but it's still pretty tasty!

Here's to hoping the rest of the week is full of nice weather, good workouts, time at the park and going on some more runs with Morgan!

My Blogging Pledge

I have never been great at keeping this blog up to date or putting much work into it. I created it as a way to keep family up to date about our lives in England and after I got pregnant it became a place where I updated about my pregnancy and after I had Morgan I used it to post monthly updates about her growth. I always used the excuse that I didn't have time to blog with working full tim and having a baby but now that I am a stay at home mom I don't have that excuse anymore. I need to become better about posting during the week. My pledge to this blog is that I will post at least three times a week. With that being said here are a couple things I am looking forward to this weekend!

1) Having the husband home! I need to go through Morgan's clothes and put away the ones that don't fit her anymore and that is hard to do when you have a baby that won't sit still and wants to take all the clothes out the drawer as I am putting them in, so having the hubby around to help will be nice!

2)We also try and do a movie night every Friday so I am looking forward to watching Foxcatcher with him tonight.

3) Taste of Lakenheath: On Saturday night I am gong to a beer, wine and cocktail tasting with a couple girlfriends. The attire is business casual so I am looking forward to getting dressed up (aka not workout clothes or sweats) and having some girl time while enjoying for beverages :)

4) I am hoping the weather will stay nice this weekend and we can take a couple family walks to the park. Morgan is loving the swings and can't get enough.

5) I am going to see the Cinderella movie at the theater this Sunday with a friend and her daughter. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney and I am so excited to see this movie!!

10 Things I Can't Wait to do When I Get Back to America!

Last Friday was my last day at work. I am officially a stay at home mom! I am a little terrified and very excited about the change. My first week home was a little rough because Morgan was sick (again!) and so there was no napping schedule and we were just in survival mode. But the exciting news is that we get to go back to the states tomorrow! It will be Morgan's first plane ride and her first time in the USA. I am a little nervous about the plane ride with Morgan by myself especially because she not fully healthy yet and is still a little irritable. I haven't been back to the states since we PCSed here August 2013, so saying I am excited is an understatement. With that being said, these are the top 10 things I am looking forward too when I get back to the states (besides seeing my friends and family of course!) P.s. don't judge me for the amount of food on this list!

1. Chipotle! Oh Chipotle how I miss you so much!

2. Dunkin Donuts (iced coffee please!)

3. Dogfishhead 90minute IPA (and other good IPAs) actually just going into Total Wine will be amazing!

4. Getting a pedicure. The pedicures in England consist of a bowl to put your feet in...

5. Going to the movies. Yes, we have theaters here but they are expensive in GBP and the theater on base never plays good movies.

6. Chick-fil-a...need I say more

7. Body pump class at Gold Gym, I will buy a week pass just so I can go to that class again

8. Going to Target!!!! ekk :) oh and Kohls, and Home Goods and a Mall!

9. Listening to country music on the radio (its the little things people)

10. Ok, I can't leave my friends and family out of the list that would just be wrong! Especially since we will have some awesome guests visiting to include my mother-in-law, cousin and aunt! :)

Morgan 8 Months

Morgan is 8 months already! Ok more like 8 1/2 months....I have gotten kind of lazy with the blog updates for her every month but what can I say she keeps my busy! So busy, I didn't even bother to iron on the 8 month decal to her onesie this month, its too much work and never looks like I want it too. I may decide to do it for her 12 month update but probably not for any others. Morgan has had a lot of first this past month!

Weight & Height: She is 19lbs and 29inches! (90th percentile!)
Eating: Still eats like a champ! Loves her oatmeal or porridge in the morning with fruit and then lunch is usually peas and sweet potatoes or yams and dinner consists of a vegetable and fruit. We also start on the baby Gerber puffs and she loves those too. I think I am going to try eggs and avocados over the next month.
Sleeping (naps): Naps have been a struggle because she has been sick a lot lately and napping has been off and on.
Sleeping (at night): Usually will sleep through the night with no problem unless she isn't feeling good. She will go to bed around 7pm and sleep till about 6:15am, sometimes 7am if we are lucky she will do that on a weekend :)
Clothing: Our little chunk is in 12 month clothes and soon will be out of those! She has the cutest chancy thighs but a lot of the baby pants won't fit over them! So its a lot of onesie with no pants.

Morgan had her first trip to LONDON! She had a blast and everyone loved her bear outfit and kept coming up to her and smiling at her, she was having so much fun!

New this month:
  • We are making moves with the crawling she can now balance on all fours and is rocking back and forth, she wants to crawl but just hasn't gotten there yet. However, that does not keep her from moving everywhere is has mastered the backwards push and scoots around on her butt.
  • She loves pulling down all the DVDs from the TV unit. She also loves to empty the drawers of her toy bin. She started using the baby walker and loves to scoot around (only backwards of course) in that too.
  • She can stand without help by holding onto something, she is still super wobbly so we have to be right there but she is able to support herself.
  • This month Morgan will get to go on her first plane back the the USA for the first time!
  • I am officially a stay at home mom, which is new for Morgan and me. I am excited to see what the future holds and spend every precious moment with her.
  • Starting to get a lot more hair on her head :)
Nicknames: MoMo, peanut, chunk

Morgan likes:
  • Loves the computer in the TV Unit she will scoot her little but over to it and play with it forever.
  • Pull everything out of anything and making a mess! Especially the DVDs out of the entertainment unit
  • Sesame Street and Elmo, they are her favorite :)
  • Bath time
  • Her pink blankies
  • Mirrors, she loves looking at her reflection.
Morgan dislikes:
  • Getting her face cleaned
  • Getting dressed
  • Socks, she always pulls them off

Morgan 6 and 7 Months!

Weight & Height: She is 17.7lbs and 28inches
Eating: She loves porridge mixed with fruit in the mornings and then a vegetable and fruit in the afternoon and some sweet potatoes and yams with vegetables in the evening. She has about 4 bottles a day now but really loves her food :) I don't think there is anything she would not eat!
Sleeping (naps): She will take one really long nap in the morning about 2-3hours and then an afternoon nap that varies between 1-2 hours.
Sleeping (at night): It has been a little rough the past couple weeks with sleeping because she has been sick, but for the two weeks over the past two month she was not sick she slept through the night!
Clothing: 9-12 month clothes. the 12 months are a little big but the 9 months are just about getting too small.

New this month:
  • Morgan wants to crawl and will scoot backwards but hasn't mastered the crawling forwards yet.
  • Babbling to herself, she loves to say dadada over and over
  • Still no teeth but she wants to chew on anything and everything so its only a matter of time.
  • Eating baby food consistently, she loves fruit and vegetables!
  • Bath time! Morgan will stay in the bathtub forever if she could, she cries when I take her out.
  • Well this isn't really new but she loves to sleep with a blanket on her head, now that she is old enough and knows how to pull it off herself we let her sleep with her blanket over her head. It is so funny when she tired she will find any blanket and pull it up over her head and fall asleep, so cute!
Nicknames: MoMo is still standing strong :)
Morgan likes:
  • Her jumper, she will jump in that thing for hours
  • Her pink blankie that her aunt Theresa gave her
  • My cell phone, or any electronics. That girl love the tv remote control
  • The TV show the Doozers, Matt and I could sing the theme song to it in our sleep
  • Her fish dream soother, she has figured out how to turn it on and off on her own.
Morgan dislikes:
  • The sound of packaging tape wrapping up a box, its so funny on two separate occasions when I was packaging a box up she starts to cry so historically from the noise the tape makes.
  • Me using the nose sucker on her or nose drops which has made it difficult this past couple weeks since she has been so sick lately.

I didn't get a 6 month post up because well life happens and we got so busy and before you we knew it she was 7 months! But here are some 6 month pictures :)
